UCC Defeats Taft
The UCC boys showed some character in this game. After previously losing to Northfield Mount Hermon by at score of 6-0 and knowing that Taft had just beat them the previous game 4-0 the Blues were expecting a challenge.
Taft opened scoring late in the first with a goal on the power-play and it wouldn't be until the second when Zack Dumas tied it up after a great pass from John Chan. Later that period Matthew Sheehy would put the team in the lead with a power-play goal with help from Klas Frykfeldt and Zach Dumas. Taft brought it back to even with a goal late in the third, taking the game into overtime. It would be call-up Noah Varga who turned out to be this games hero as he netted the overtime winner with help from Ben Attkinson and Edward Moskowitz.
Taft would go on to win the tournament's 3rd place game.
