Blues take Second Place at Trinity Tournament

Coach Zappone
After narrowly getting to the finals with a win over Trinity, UCC looked to their last obstacle to the cup, Stanstead.

Edward Moskowitz gave UCC the early lead from a pass fom Piaget Ntakarutimana. Standstead responded 4 minutes later with their goal also in the first. In the second, Steanstead took the lead in the second but Matthew Sheehy evened up the game shortly after. UCC again took the lead in the 3rd with help from Ben Attkinson. The Blues had 8 minutes to hold their lead and win the tournament but with 7 minutes left Zack Dumas took an unfortunate interferance penelty. Looking to kill the Power-Play the boys lined up only to have Josh Chan join Dumas in the box after he was called for slashing. A clearance attempt by the Penalty-Killers was blocked by a linesman and resulted in an unfortunate goal for Stanstead who tied the game. Shortly after Stanstead managed a 4th goal and finally an open net goal as well.

Congratulations Stansted.
