How to Apply

List of 3 items.

  • Step 1 — Submit an application

To start your application for 2025 entry, you must first login to or create your UCC application account. Please ensure that when you create the account, you use the candidate’s legal name as it appears on his birth certificate or passport.

Only the candidate's parents are legally authorized to create an account and submit an application. Agents wishing to submit an application on behalf of a parent should contact the Office of Admission at admission@ucc.on.ca before creating an account.

Once you’ve logged in or created an account, click on the application form button to start filling out the form. You can save your work and return to complete and submit it at any time – please allow 30 minutes to an hour in total to complete the form. Please ensure that all form fields are complete before submitting as the application information cannot be edited once submitted. Please allow two days for processing the application form and payment.

We highly encourage applications to be submitted by November 1, 2024 and will continue to accept applications until December 1, 2024. We encourage you to submit your application early as interview and assessment spaces are limited.

The application fee schedule is as follows:
    $200 until Nov. 1, 2024
    $300 Nov. 2–Dec. 1, 2024
  • Step 2 — Complete all steps in your application checklist

Once your form has been processed, you can log back in to complete the following steps:

    • Upload final (June 2022–23 and 2023–24) school reports
Images of multiple pages should be merged into a single file before uploading using an app such as Adobe Scan. Please upload your documents in PDF form. Applicants are required to submit these documents within 24 hours of application submission.

    • Upload credit counselling summary
Because UCC works ahead in the Ontario Curriculum, it is important for the academic team to understand the courses taken at the applicant's school. A credit counselling summary, often known as a transcript with Ontario course labels, provides the information needed for the academic team to recommend the correct year level for the applicant.

    • Complete teacher reference request
This teacher reference helps us learn more about the applicant as a member of a learning community. Complete the form by inputting the teacher’s email. The form is sent directly to the teacher. The preference is that this is completed by the classroom teacher (previous year or current year). If not possible, the form can be sent to a teacher or coach who observes your child in a group setting. One-to-one teachers and tutors or family friends should not be used.

The teacher reference form is available through the admission checklist after you have created your account. This should be returned by the teacher by January 6, 2025.
  • Step 3 — Await an interview invitation, assessment and decision

It may seem like an eternity to wait, but we don’t reach out to our Year 10 and 11 applicant families until we know there is space available at these levels. This generally happens after re-enrolment is finalized in April. Should space permit, we will contact selected candidates to schedule interviews and assessments at that time and any decisions will be made shortly thereafter.
